The 3DS (3D-Secure) is an anti-fraud protocol for making secure payments by card which guarantees that the user is the cardholder.
The issuing entity (bank) is responsible for authenticating the identity. There are several methods to do so such as: a code sent via SMS, a code inscribed on a coordinate card, among other alternatives.
For Bitnovo it is very important that our users have this protocol active, otherwise our payment gateway cancels the transaction and makes an instant refund.
